Overview
Ledger is a private income and expense tool for a small laundry business. It logs income the way laundry is priced, by the load, and shows whether the month is making money.
The challenge
Ordinary accounting software was too much for a busy counter. The business needed a quick way to record each day and a clear view of whether the month was making money.
The approach
Start from how the counter works. Income is logged by the load and the amount is worked out for you. Everything stays on the device, with no account to manage.
The solution
A local-first web app. Log income as a number of loads, track costs and salary, and see revenue, expenses and profit or loss with weekly and monthly charts. Back up to a file whenever you like. No account, no server, no tracking.
